WHERE TO SPEND VACATION IN RUSSIA?

 That the question many tourists ask. Someone is interested in cheap holidays in the country, and someone is looking, first of all, for quality. From the very beginning of the 21st century, Russians actively began to travel abroad and this tendency is actual up today. Meanwhile, there is no such diversity of climatic zones, natural features and cultural heritage as in Russia than any country of the world.

We are going "for far away countries" in search of a good beach or ski holiday in Europe or southeast Asia, looking for happiness somewhere there ... Not knowing at the same time that the times has changed and there are places in Russia, where the "price-quality" ratio will not be in favor of abroad.

When talking to local people abroad, you see their admiration for our country and the desire to visit St. Petersburg, Baikal or Kamchatka someday, it's sad to realize that we (the Russian) have not seen Russia at all.

A few numbers: according to the World Bank for the period from 2004 to 2014 the flow of foreign citizens in Russia increased by more than 10 million a year and is about 32 million people. The country stably enters the top 10 most visited countries of the world, is practically on the same level as Germany and Great Britain. Domestic tourism is growing at a faster pace - from 2011 to 2015, it increased from 33.3 to 50 million people.

Russian summer beach holidays

 Despite the fact that the country is not washed by so many warm seas, the number of summer resorts is huge and the main thing is to make the right choice based on what each particular tourist wants.

Natural features of the country, as well as its snowy winters contribute to the rapid development of ski resorts, their number is increasing:

- Dombay cannot be called a new one, since it originates from the time of the Soviet Union. After a major reconstruction, it competes in quality with the Alpine centers, and prices are much cheaper than the latter one. The length of the trails is up to 20 km.! In addition to the skiing, you can even fly on a paraglider.

- Abzakovo is located on the territory of Bashkortostan, 70 km from Magnitogorsk. Its advantages are optimal prices and extensive additional services - a biathlon track, horse-drawn harnesses, ice rinks, snowmobiles and fan parks.

- Sheregesh, where the season is one of the longest - lasts from October to May! Taking into account the climate, snow is not compressed here, it remains fluffy and light. Every year this ski resort attracts more and more tourists, so the construction of new hotels and restaurants does not stop. It is located near Kemerovo. Considering the great popularity among Siberians, even bus tours from Tomsk, Omsk, Novosibirsk and Krasnoyarsk are organized here.

- Bolshoi  Woodyavr, because of the complexity of pronunciation nicknamed simply - "Big Wood". This is one of the few "alpine skiing" in the Arctic Circle. Here they offer a unique service in their own way - to ride under the northern lights. It is located in the town of Kirovsk, Murmansk region.

 The cultural heritage of the country is difficult to overestimate. During the low-season (spring, autumn, New Year holidays) it's time to visit one of the two capitals - Moscow or St. Petersburg.
