In Batumi, Kutaisi and Tbilisi, parking is more difficult, but you will always find a place in paid parking lots. There are also free ones in these cities. In the center of Tbilisi, hourly parking fees apply; depending on the zone (A, B, C), the cost for 1 hour will be from $0.30 to $0.90, respectively. Further around the city, payment is based on a subscription; a weekly one costs $1.25. In Batumi and Kutaisi, only a subscription fee is $1.55 per week. Rental vehicle insurance

All cars are insured under MTPL. CASCO is also used with and without a franchise (full CASCO or super CASCO). Insurance with a deductible does not cover damage to wheels, mirrors, glass and body, but full super CASCO has full coverage. Each rental company approaches this issue individually. There are also rental companies that use full CASCO by default and already include it in the cost of renting a car. To figure this out, carefully read the description in the card of a particular car.

If a traffic accident does occur, then 5 mandatory points must be observed:

1. do not leave the scene of the accident or move the vehicle under any circumstances;
2. call 112 and call the patrol to draw up a report and record the event;
3. call the rental company;
4. call the insurance company (you will find its number in the documents provided by the landlord);
5. take photographs of the damage to the car and the scene of the accident

In case of alcohol intoxication there will be no insurance compensation!

Deposit or security upon receipt of a rental car

This is not a requirement. Again, read the description of the car. For example, rental companies whose cars are insured with full CASCO insurance do not ask for a deposit from clients, since they already have full coverage. On average, the deposit is $100-200 for local companies, and +/- $1000 for international companies. Full refund upon return of the car provided there is no damage. Accepts cash or credit card. In the latter case, the refund/unblocking of funds is made for up to 21 days.

Requirements for renters/drivers

The standard age is from 23 to 65 years. Driving experience from 3 years. But there are always exceptions to the rules, everything is individual for everyone. For example, rental companies with full CASCO insurance are also required to comply with the requirements of insurance companies, which is why they have a minimum age of 25-26 years.

Prices for car rental in Georgia

The rental cost depends on 3 factors:

• car class (the lower the class, the cheaper);
• rental period (the longer the rental period, the cheaper it will cost 1 day of rental);
• car insurance (renting with full CASCO, already included in the price of the car, will always be more expensive than renting a car only with MTPL)
